This is far and away the question we are asked the most! Afterall with the dealership charging $500.00, $600.00, maybe even $1000.00 or more to replace the mirror head assembly… Replacing just the driver side mirror glass or passenger side mirror glass is an attractive and economical alternative! The thing is… Some folks can be intimidated by tackling a project like this themselves, they worry that it will be too difficult or time consuming. This couldn’t be further from the truth! Replacing a broken side mirror is actually quite fast and easy! Let’s have a look at what it takes. Below I have listed the steps along with a simple diagram for replacing a broken side mirror with one of our best selling replacement auto mirror glass options, the Burco Redi Cut®.

Step by step installation instructions for replacing a broken side mirror with a Burco Redi Cut® replacement auto mirror glass.
- Remove all existing glass from the mirror head’s plastic inner platform (backing plate).
- Clean backing plate with rubbing alcohol. Clean back of replacement mirror with Burco Window Glo® or other glass cleaner.
- Apply the Burco Redi Stick® adhesive patches to the replacement auto mirror glass back or to the backing plate itself.
