Replacement Mirror Glass for a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche

I got an e-mail from Jack Richards the other day that really made my day and I wanted to share it with you. Jack had purchased a piece of auto mirror glass from us for his 2003 Avalanche and had this to say about his experience…

Hi, I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for helping me out last week. I went to my local Chevy dealer because I hit my mirror backing out of the garage and busted the glass. I asked them If I could get just the glass for the driver side of my 2003 Avalanche Z71. They replied sure, and I thought awesome! That will be a lot cheaper than buying the whole mirror. Then they hit me with a price of $510.31 for GM part number 88944391. After picking myself up from the floor, I asked if that was for the whole mirror head or just the glass. The counterman said that was just the price for the glass, and to add insult to injury they would have to order it and it would take 7-10 days to get. Needless to say I got the hell out of there and went online where I found you folks at MirrorGlassPlus.com, you had a piece of auto mirror glass for the drivers side of my truck for $28.99 part number BUR-4017S. It went right over the broken glass and attached with the included adhesive tabs. It even allowed the turn signal in the mirror to continue to be used. I couldn’t be happier with the mirror, and best of all I had it within three days! Thanks again for everything, and I’ll be sure to reccomend you to everyone I know! Jack Richards

There’s electrical components involved! That’s got to be harder… Right?“ Well guess what? Burco® Redi Set Go mirror glass comes complete with a motor mount affixed directly to the mirror for easy installation.

Remove broken mirror along with the backing plate. If mirror is heated or signal type, disconnect terminal leads. (Tip: Use a small piece of cardboard or other solid item on edge of mirror head when prying off backing plate to prevent causing damage.)
Throw away backing plate and broken mirror glass.
If heated or signal type auto mirror glass, reconnect terminal wires to new Burco® Redi Set Go mirror glass
Align and snap in the new Burco® Redi Set Go mirror glass. Done.
